Ainamalu is located at the entrance of Waikoloa Beach Resort road. A 20 minute drive from the Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole. Our home is a 3 bedrooms 2 bath (model Kalani). There is a fabulous view of the Mauna Kea mountain,  which sometimes during winter displays a beautiful snow capped top.

In House Rules:

  • No pets (service animals with certification are welcome, owners are responsible for cleaning up after pets).
  • No smoking in home (including e-cig).
  • Quiet hours is between 9:00pm to 8:00am.
  • No large gatherings.

Booking Information:

  • Check-in 4:00 P.M.; Check-out: 11:00 A.M.
  • Rates are seasonal. (See Book Now page)
  • Cancellation must be made 30 days prior to arrival date. However, at our discretion, refunds may be considered to the extent canceled dates can be filled at comparable rates.
  • A $500.00 damage deposit (refundable) is charged at the time of booking. If your stay is within 60 days of making your reservation, all charges will be processed at the time of booking.
  • Cleaning Fee of $250.00 per booking.

An incredible luxury home that is near everything you want to do including whale watching, helicopter tours, Hapuna beach, submarine tours, etc. I highly recommend staying here for any trip to the Big Island. The views from the back yard are breathtaking. The house that is 2 doors down is listed for over 2.6 million. This is much better than staying at a hotel. Highly recommend. Airbnb

Wonderful Property
This house was a fantastic find. Quiet, spotless, comfortable, and very generously appointed, the hosts hit it out of the park with this rental. It felt much more like a welcoming home as opposed to a bland and generic vacation rental. It is located within a short drive to a selection of shops and restaurants. It is also a short trip to the beach and a number of parks. I appreciated and enjoyed this property very much and highly recommend. I hope to return sometime.VRBO

Absolutely loved it
Couldn’t have been happier! This home was perfect for my construction crew that was there for a two week project in Kamuela. It was spacious and clean - very well maintained. It had everything we needed including all the kitchen and bbq necessities for our stay. Booking and Check in was easy and although we didn’t need to contact the property manager, we had all available contact numbers just in case. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here!VRBO

Beach bum vacation
House was very well equipped with high end appliance and just about anything you needed to cook. Alan was great to work with and went above and beyond to get us a cradle when our 4 month old granddaughter joined us. Comfortable beds and outdoor furniture. Since the bedrooms are located at opposite sides of the house, we all had our privacy. The gas grill worked great. The house was very clean and there were spices, coffee creamer, coffee, and condiments. Great location for visiting the beaches North of the airport. Food shopping was a few minutes car ride away and the local fresh fish guy was right at the entrance on 19.

We had an amazing time at the house, it worked perfectly for us and was in a great location. It was very quiet and private, yet just minutes away from shops and beaches. Alan bought a pack and play for us to use with our littlest and that made our stay so much easier! We’d definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

The home was beautiful and the location was perfect! We loved all the amenities and everything the house provided. First time visiting Hawaii and the big island with my family and this stay was worth the price. I especially liked that the different rooms had their own temperature control! The home is located in Waikoloa Village and close to shopping markets with a grocery stores, shopping places, lots of restaurants and even a gas station. Deeper down the village is a beautiful beach next to the Lava Lava Beach Club restaurant which we highly recommend! Alan was a great host and communicated with us very well. He answered any and all questions we had in a timely manner and was very accommodating. We loved our stay and definitely want to stay with him the next time we're here!:)

Absolutely wonderful home! It is even more beautiful in person. Numerous kitchen appliances and utensils (for example a toaster oven and a toaster, 3 coffee makers -keurig, small drip pot, large drip pot, etc) all of these appliances are stowed in lower cabinets so you only take out what you need and have lots of counter space. There was a pantry with many items that we assumed were from previous guests that made it very easy to not have to buy all items such as oil, salt, spices, etc. There were also canned items and a large bag of rice and some spaghetti so we could have easily made a few meals before heading to the grocery. Also some waters in the fridge and some condiments. There were 8 keurig coffees and 8 tea bags, sugar packets and individual creamers to get you started as well as plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap for the auto dishwasher, laundry soap, etc. Sunscreen, bug spray, etc in the laundry room entry. The bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash filled dispensers in both showers. The outdoor shower is also amazing. Having a garage to use made it so simple to come and go as opposed to condos we've stayed at in the past. There was a cooler, Tommy Bahama beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, slippers, etc for all the beach going fun. The back patio is fabulous and we spent every morning watching the sunrise over the mountain. Very comfortable outdoor seating as well as four lounge chairs and a gas grill. There is also a Bose speaker which made it very easy to play music through our phones in the kitchen/living room area. There are so many fabulous things about this home that I could go on and on! Communication with Alan was great! I asked him two questions through the Airbnb messenger and he responded quickly and clearly both times. We hope to stay here again the next time we are on the Big Island!

Unique VRBO Location
Interesting area with great breezes in the evening and AC during the day. Stark cool views of the mountains; easy driving distance to some beautiful beaches and northern Island day trips. Star-gazing from the back patio is a bonus. Lava fields look like you are vacationing on Mars. Alan is very accessible if you need him. House is well stocked. We would like to come back some time. Pictures do not do justice how lovely this house is. I loved spending time on the patio and cooking in the kitchen. The master bathroom is great and I loved the soaking tub. Really appreciated the A/C. The house is perfect for spending time on the Kona side of the island. Airbnb

We really enjoyed Christmastime at Alan’s home. Waikaloa is a convenient place to stay on the island, with many of the most beautiful beaches and nicest restaurants within a 15-20 minute drive. The house was extremely well stocked, and had everything we needed to enjoy the holidays, including a coffee grinder, good pots and pans, decent knives, etc. When we encountered any issues, Alan was very quick to address our concerns.  Airbnb

This new home, in a brand new development borders everything you will want to be close to. The house is a dream come true. Absolutely lovely. It has everything you’ll need to make for a perfect vacation. Every large, and small detail taken care of. Kitchen fully stocked, even a little coffee tea set up. Bathrooms have hair products, soaps, hair dryer and curling iron, clothing iron... Master suite is huge. Furnishings are exceptional. Thank you Alan. Job well done!

House is ideally situated for everything you want to do in the Big Island. From Day trips to near by beaches to farmers markets or even a longer trip to Hilo or even Volcano NP. The house and location are also perfect for a break from all of the activities- glorious sunrises each morning and beautiful surroundings. The photos do not do the place justice! The home and kitchen are perfectly equipped for your every need- from a quick breakfast out the door for a day’s worth of fun to even a shared cooking experience to try local island products and cuisine on your own. Market are nearby, as well as restaurants, shopping and evening entertainment, all alongside a beautiful natural setting. Don’t forget to look up at night and see a beautiful star scape, too! Fabulous views of Mauna Kea in the patio.
The property manager was friendly and helpful.
Home is new and clean.
Nice size kitchen with gas stove.
Outdoor shower.
Luxury, high end linen, appliances and fixtures.
Great location the market, beaches, golf course, highway is 5 to 10 minutes away.
Waikoloa, Big Island is my favorite Island to visit, the Island is wide open compared to the other Islands, no traffic jam, the people are friendly and Waikoloa has the best weather in the world.
I’m from Oahu, for 20 years I stayed at many hotels and vacation rentals on the Big Island in Waikoloa. The Ainamalu home is by far the most spacious, cleanest and most private home I stayed at.
I highly recommend this home because of its location, privacy, new and clean, it’s just a very nice home!
Best of all I enjoy the serenity of the fabulous view of the sunrise next to Mauna Kea while I sit on the patio chair drinking my Kona coffee.
